Find out if the payors accepts CAQH or the PA Standard Application . · Notify your worker’s compensation provider that you have a new provider as well as all other insurance policies that may need to be updated. · Marketing suggestions – announcements to referring providers, the public, your patient population · Arrange for signage · Contact the Delaware County Medical Society for help. The PA Medical Society also has resources, which includes a credentialing checklist.. · Order all necessary printed materials (e.g. letterhead, scripts, appointment cards, etc) · Build patient schedules · Host a “welcome” meeting to introduce the new doctor to the staff. · Be sure to educate new provider on billing practices for the office. · Obtain a current CME history if the office will be following.
